About the artist
Brittany O’Hora is born and raised in Southern Maine. She finds joy in escaping the noise of everyday life and diving deeply into the creative process, where time fades away and imagination takes over. Creating beautiful things has always been second nature to her, and she is especially drawn to deep, rich color and expressive compositions that bring feeling and life into a space.
Much of Brittany’s inspiration comes from her grandmother, Dorothy. Though Dorothy was never a painter, she was a lifelong creator whose talents showed through her impeccable 1950s homemaking, quick wit, and unwavering kindness. Living alongside a strong-willed husband who often took center stage, Dorothy’s quiet creativity became her voice and her way of shining through. That legacy of resilience, warmth, and creation lives on in Brittany’s work today.
Brittany has been nurturing her creative light her entire life. She draws inspiration from the creative people around her; her grandmother, her father, and her children, as well as from the beauty of nature and the emotional power of color. Through her art, she aims to create meaningful, visually striking pieces that bring warmth, depth, and connection into the spaces they inhabit.
For Brittany, there is no place she would rather be than immersed in the creative process. Lost in color, form, and feeling. Bringing something beautiful into the world.
